In February 2012, the Maine Department of Secretary of State Bureau of Motor Vehicles announced the launch of The Parent's Supervised Driving Program. Delivered to parents and teens free of charge at the time of teen permitting, the program aims to enhance the supervised driving experience between parent and teen. This resource is free to the parent, to the teen and to the state thanks to support from its sponsors, Irving Oil and Vermont Mutual Insurance.
